10 Things Women Can Do Better Than Men

5 Sep 2014

It seems that although women aren't better than men or vice versa, women are better at some things. After thirty years of marriage, I started thinking about the things I am clearly better at than my husband. Don't get me wrong. I do love the man. It's just obvious to me in so many ways why women are truly the stronger sex.

1) Women can tune out better. Watch a man and a woman in a restaurant where there is a screaming child in the next booth. The woman goes on about her business, chatting, eating and laughing while the man begins to tremble and break into hives as the smoke starts pouring from his ears. He will complain the whole rest of the meal.

2) Women are better at handling children's bodily functions. If a man attempts to clean up vomit from a child, the woman will soon be cleaning up after the both of them. Let us not forget also that our husband's favorite words while playing with the baby were, "Honey! I think the diaper needs changing!"

3) Women are definitely better at being sick. How many times have you crawled out of bed feeling like you've been hit by a truck to make your poor husband dinner because he's hungry? Enough said.

4) Women are better at getting what they want. A little puppy dog pout and a sad look into the eyes of your spouse will usually do the trick. If you can muster a tear, that's a huge bonus!

5) Women can let things go better. I like baseball as much as my husband, but when our team didn't win the playoffs, I sighed and moved on. He moped around for three days. Here it is a month later and he and his buddies are still going on about it.

6) Women are better at cleaning. Not much needs to be said on this topic. My husband thinks a sponge is a contraceptive device.

7) Women can communicate better. While I can actually form a complete sentence, my husband has mastered the art of grunting.

8) Women are better at exercising. Scrubbing floors, vacuuming stairs and washing windows burn off far more calories than the remote control arm lift.

9) Women are better at paying bills. If my husband were responsible for bills, it would be a dark, cold winter without power and water until the house was foreclosed on.

10) Women are better at dressing up. Of course it takes longer. We curl our hair, put on makeup and try on 5 outfits to make sure we look our best. Dressing up for men is a quick shave and blowing off the dust of the collared shirt that's been hanging in the closet since the last Christmas party.

Now that I've completed my list, I'm on the fence about who is the smarter sex. The men who get away with all this or the women that put up with it? Hmmmm.......just maybe the jokes on us!

10 Things I Will Miss

5 Sep 2014

I thought about 10 things I will miss most when my youngest son leaves home, after writing the article, "What Will I Do When He Leaves Me? I'm sure many single mothers will agree with these also.

1. I Will Miss: Someone taking out the garbage

Emptying all garbage pails in the house, taking out the trash bin and recycling, to the end of the yard and back. The only chore he didn't wine too much about.
2. I Will Miss: Someone opening the garage door

Especially, when it's raining. If he's in the house, why shouldn't he open it, so I don't have to get out the car or get wet doing it? I need a new garage door anyway, so I'll get one with a garage opener and solve that problem now.

3. I Will Miss: Someone cooking for me now and then

The menu is limited, but I'm glad I taught him how to cook a few things. He can also cook for himself if I decide to sleep late. The meal does what it needs to do, until lunch time anyway. By the way, he made me breakfast this morning.

4. I Will Miss: Being waited on when I'm sick or tired

Why not? I wait on him, as well as nurse him back to health, so he can continue being the typical teenager he is.

5. I Will Miss: Someone showing me love when I need it

Who else is going to give me a big hug or kiss me on my forehead when I need some love?

6. I Will Miss: Someone in the house to talk to

Don't get me wrong, I can talk to myself, but most people would think I'm strange, if they hear me.

7. I Will Miss: Someone to mow the lawn

I'm going to really miss him doing this. He's just getting used to mowing the front and back yards without my help. My back isn't going to be happy about this one.

8. I Will Miss: Someone to help bring in the groceries

Why shouldn't he help me take the groceries out of the car? Most of the groceries I buy are for him anyway. Why should I do all the work, when he's going to eat most of the food.

9. I Will Miss: My two little boys

They are so precious and innocent when they are young. Like I 've said before, we should be able to freeze them, so they stay that way forever.

10. I Will Miss: Someone to protect

I will really miss this one and I think most parents will. I believe this is what hurt my Grandmother the most after her children and grandchildren grew up. She felt unneeded. It's hard to see your child struggling in life and you really can't help the way you would like to, because they need to handle their own business. All you can do now is trust them in God's hands. Unless you have a child that shares what's going on in their life, so you can try to make it a little easier, you just have to step back and observe. Wait for them to humble themselves and realize they do need you. I SAID, NEED YOU, NOT USE YOU.

10 best country songs all time

23 Aug 2014

country
I love, love, love country music! I grew up on it, and I am a pretty dedicated listener. I am a pretty sentimental person, and I enjoy music that has powerful lyrical messages. Here are ten songs that I absolutely love. I am sure I am forgetting some, so there may be a Part 2 to come! This list is in no particular order.
#1 "The Dance" by Garth Brooks
The message this song conveys is how I think we should live life. It suggests that life is best to chance...which is true. We never know what is going to happen in the future and if we obsess over it we will noot enjoy what is in front of us.

#2 "The Baby" by Blake Shelton
This song is very touching. Although it discusses how youngest children are often favored, I take the mother-child bond away from the song. There is no other bond like a child and his/her mother. No matter how old you get, you are never ready to lose a parent.

#3 "Forever and Ever, Amen" by Randy Travis
This could be your grandparent's song. It is so cute. It truly shows the power of true love. You can fall in love with someone for her looks, but true love is when you love someone when they are not as beautiful as long ago. This shows true unconditional love.

#4 "It's a Love Without End Amen" by George Strait
I talked about mothers with "The Baby" description. Dads deserve some credit, too. This song makes me think of my dad. No matter what I am doing in life, I know that my dad is always there for me. A daddy's love never goes away for his children.

#5 "Life Ain't Always Beautiful" by Gary Allen
This is as true as it gets! We all know that life ain't always beautiful...but it is indeed "a beautiful ride." We all have bad moments in life, but good to make up from them. If you look at the total picture, the good moments make life worth it.

#6 "I Believe" by Diamond Rio
This is one of the most touching songs to me. I lost my mom a few years ago, and this song reminds me that she is with me always. If you have lost someone, I recommend this song. We all have angels among us...remember to believe.

#7 "Unanswered Prayers" by Garth Brooks
Whether or not you like this song will probably depend on if you have a belief in God. It is a good reminder that when things are not going your way, it is not that God is ignoring you; it just means He has a plan for you. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason.

#8 "Three Wooden Crosses" by Randy Travis
Another Randy Travis song...gotta love him. This is another testament to the way we should live our lives. You have to live every day like it is your last because you never know when it is going to end. It is alll about "what you leave behind you when you go."

#9 "Don't Take the Girl" by Tim McGraw
What a cute song! It portrays growing up, and also expresses how you never know what could happen "ten years down the road." The true power of love is expressed here. When you are truly in love, you would rather anything else happens besides losing that person.

#10 "He Didn't Have to Be" by Brad Paisley
I couldn't leave Brad out. This is a wonderful song. Sometimes the relationship between stepparent and child is not as it should be, but the story in this song represents a truly remarkable man and the influence he has on a boy.

I highly encourage to listen to these songs if you have not already. I know you will take something powerful and positive away from them. Stay tuned for more of my favorites. Happy listening!

10 best christmas horror films

23 Aug 2014

During Christmas, there are many memorable films to watch. Most of these are light hearted or heart-warming family flicks. However, there are many horror films that celebrate the holiday season with blood and gore. This list features ten of the most entertaining Christmas horror films ever produced, either through disbelieving laughter or true terror.

BigComboTrailer

10. Jack Frost

Jack Frost is perhaps the most bizarre of the movies on this list; it features a serial killer reanimated as a snowman! Featuring a young, pre-American Pie Shannon Elizabeth, this movie never takes itself seriously and is more fun than terrifying. Any horror movie that defeats the killer by anti-freeze is worth a watch.

9. Feeders 2: Slay Bells

Directed by infamous micro budget identical twins, Mark and John Polonia, this is an alien invasion movie set during Christmas where Santa saves the day using laser guns and bombs! Bad acting, awful special effects, and hilariously bad dialogue make this one of the funniest of all Christmas horror films.

8. Silent Night, Deadly Night 2

Though incredibly inferior to the original film, this film has something that the original doesn't have: laughs. This sequel features the brother of the original killer losing his mind and beginning a killing spree of his own. Featuring a lead actor who overacts to epic heights, to a

7. Don't Open Till Christmas

This British flick goes a different route than other Christmas horror films. Instead of a killer Santa, we have a killer killing Santa's! The killer in this movie is sick of the commercialization of Christmas, so he decides to kill the ultimate symbol of that commercialization. This movie is fairly seedy, including castrations, porno booths and immolation. It would be higher on the list if it was scary instead of over-the-top silly.

6. Santa's Slay

This more recent horror movie was played mostly for laughs, featuring professional wrestler Bill Goldberg as Santa Claus aka the son of Satan. After a thousand years of playing gift giver, he's back to his former brutal ways. Featuring an all-star cast and truly funny jokes, this horror film makes excellent Christmas day viewing

5. The Nightmare Before Christmas

This movie has become incredibly popular lately and for good reason. The stunning puppet work, incredible songs, and menacing atmosphere make it one of the finest Christmas movies ever. The monsters who run Halloween try to run Christmas to disastrous results. Though the horror in this film is minor, but there are some gut wrenching moments. The movie has a brooding atmosphere throughout that help it make it high on this list.

4. Christmas Evil

This 1980 flick is one of the earliest Christmas themed horror films. In this film, a strange foreman of a toy factory decides to dress up like Santa and go out on Christmas to reward and punish the good and bad people he runs into. Highlights of the film include a truly surreal ending featuring the man flying off into the night in his van, as if he were Santa. It's also notable as the film tries to be sympathetic to him, and gives him moments of tenderness.

3. Gremlins

When this film came out in 1984, people expected a light hearted family comedy. The cute Mogwai named "Gizmo" seemed to seal the deal. However, a third of the way through the film, ugly and violent creatures called "Gremlins" appear, and they terrorize the town. This film is the finest balance of comedy and horror on the list as belly laughs alternate with truly scary moments.

2. Black Christmas

This film is the earliest Christmas horror film that I know. Filmed in 1974 by Bob Clark (the man who brought us "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" and the Porky trilogy) this film is not light hearted like some of the other films on this list. It features a college sorority house getting murdered during Christmas, featuring Margot Kidder and John Saxon. Bob Clark, who later garnered great fame for his light hearted and popular Christmas movie "A Christmas Story," was at the height of his horror movie skills and he produced a brutal and efficient Christmas horror movie.

1. Silent Night, Deadly Night

The grandest Christmas horror film ever produced. Though its sequel, Silent Night Deadly Night 2, produced better laughs, this movie is brutal and humorless. This movie depicts a man driven to murder after, as a young boy, seeing his parents brutal murder by a man in Santa suit. Though most other Christmas horror movies enjoy the silliness of the premise, this movie is more brutal and bloody and occasionally difficult to watch.

10 Artists Mumford & Sons Fans Should Hear Now

22 Aug 2014

 Mumford

In the 6 short years since they've been around, British band Mumford & Sons have instigated what most would call a folk revolution. The entire genre has been redefined to fit a modern era, but not without keeping the heart and soul of what made it such a timeless style to begin with during the traditional age. Now, acts like The Lumineers are rising to prominence, and even artists outside of the genre, like Panic! At The Disco ("Folkin' Around") and One Direction ("Story of My Life") tend to play with its new bells and whistles when devising their next hits.

For those of you who call themselves fans of Mumford & Sons and the revolution which they've instigated, here's 10 more artists that you should hear now!

1. Noah has a throaty grit to his deep, Southern tone very much akin to Marcus Mumford's own if you listen well enough. His debut album, "Among the Wildest Things", is rooted in both alternative, soul, and folk influences, but on both, it's clear that Mumford and his sons have been a prime inspiration for the young singer/songwriter throughout his career.

Must-hear: "My Love Will Never Stray" (feat. Amy Stroup) , "Be With You" , "Adore"

2. Greensky Bluegrass knows how to get down with their incredible, fast-paced rip-roaring instrumentals involving all manner of banjo picking and impressive guitar licks that Mumford fans will feel at home with. Their harmonies are pretty solid, too, for voices so individually idiosyncratic when compared to one another.

Must-hear: "Don't Lie" , "Time/Breathe (Reprise)" , 'I'd Probably Kill You"

3. The Tallest Man On Earth takes a good amount of cues from the Bob Dylan era in terms of how to make good folk music, and Dylan is one of Marcus Mumford's very own most tremendous inspirations. There's a lo-fi relatability here in the band's production that is undeniable.

Must-hear: "The Gardener" , "The Dreamer" , "Love Is All"

4. Town Mountain features simplistic, yet lush instrumentals that bring listeners down to the true grit of what made traditional American folk so special. There's a cry in their lead singer's voice that is appealing in its world-weary, raw quality.

Must-hear: "Lawdog", "I'm On Fire", "Black-Eyed Susan"

5. Oscar Isaac actually starred in Inside Llewyn Davis, which Marcus had a tremendous hand in helping produce in terms of its killer soundtrack. Oscar himself has a beautiful, idiosyncratic voice that lends itself well to both the re-imagined folk songs present on the movie's soundtrack, as well as some original songs of his own.

Must-hear: "Hang Me, Oh Hang Me", "The Death of Queen Jane", "Never Had"

6. The Accidentals pull from several avenues of musical influence to craft their tunes that, for high school students especially, are truly impressive, featuring a lush set of instruments upon genius arrangements and often gorgeous dual vocals. They're a bit more playful than Mumford and company, but fall within the same lane of overall great songwriting.

Must-hear: "The Silence", "Us", "City of Cardboard"

7. The Greencards know how to play a darn good fiddle. Aside from that, they have impressive group harmonies paired with some darn good playing on all manner and means of various other instruments. When brought together, they really do make sweet, sweet, idiosyncratic music encompassing alternative, folk, bluegrass, and country styles.

Must-hear: "Love and Other Errors", "Once and Gone", "Adelaide"

8. Old Crow Medicine Show might be a band whose trademark song you've heard hundreds of time without even knowing it as they're the ones who originally penned and subsequently performed Darius Rucker's hit, "Wagon Wheel". They're extremely bluegrass-oriented and are never quite afraid to take on some daringly uptempo arrangements in their songs that are truly fun for those with an open mind.

Must-hear: "Wagon Wheel", "Carry Me Back to Virginia", "Angel From Montgomery"

9. Pert Near Sandstone summon upon Irish-influenced folk sounds to really bring a unique style back to the modern era. They have an impressive way of going about rearranging cover songs to fit their specific style, too, and it really is a joy to behold.

Must-hear: "Appalachian Girl", "Solid Gone", "Wild Bill Jones"

10. Lee DeWyze perhaps didn't have the best luck directly coming off of American Idol as its 9th winner, but, as history has decided, there would be irony in that his label dropping him after his post-Idol debut would be the best thing that ever could've happened for his music. He's now back to his roots, which is unadulterated folk/rock at its very finest. Definitely an artist you have to check out.

10 amazing iphone apps moms

22 Aug 2014

iPhone

Here are some of the best apps I've seen so far for moms and what I love about them (in no particular order):

1. Mint.Com Personal Finance

I'm a big fan of Mint.com, in general, so naturally I had to get their app. Keep track of your bank accounts and budgeting while on the go! Mint.com is a great budgeting web site. It pulls all your accounts together and is totally free.

2. Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder

ParkFinder is a free app that helps you search for nearby (and farther away) state and national parks, as well as helps you search by activity desired. This app could prove to be very helpful for trip planning!

3. Food Gawker

I am addicted to Foodgawker.com! When I discovered they had an app for my phone, I about bursted! Foodgawker lets you search through images of well-photographed food, with linked recipes. Perfect for meal-planning (and drooling) while on a work break or even when on the couch cozied up and too lazy to go pick up a cookbook!

4. Real Simple

This app, brought to you by the magazine of the same name, allows you to create to-do lists and also includes pre-made to-do lists for cleaning and organizing. Okay, so I may not have actually DONE anything on my to-do list yet, but it's waiting on my phone for when I get there. Another similar app is from Good Housekeeping at Home . This app isn't really list-focused, but includes a stain buster and do-it-all cleaning tip area, as well as home decor and news and tips.

5. Driver Feedback from State Farm

Have a teenager or simply a husband who isn't the best driver? Run this app while they're driving to "grade" them from State Farm. It grades their acceleration, braking, and cornering. Apparently this is a newer app, but it works great, so no problems here!

6. Nike Training Club

Nike created this app that allows you to do multiple workouts and play your own music in the background. They also have instructional videos for each move if you need, allowing you to pause the workout timer while it shows you instructions. Provides countdowns for each move, which is very helpful so you don't have to keep staring at your phone. This app would be great for new moms with limited time to work out.

7. Walgreens

Need a refill? Simply scan the barcode on your empty bottle and this app does the work! For families who have a bunch of prescriptions to keep track of, this app is amazing! I haven't personally put it to the test yet since I don't take many medications, but I'm excited all the same!

8. Fooducate

Fooducate allows you to scan the bar code of a food item and see nutritional information, as well as suggests healthier alternatives. A grocery-store must have. My first scan? Gold Peak Sweetened Iced Tea (so delicious!). It suggested Lipton Diet Iced Tea Lemon.

9. GasBuddy

GasBuddy lists the prices of gas around you and allows you to sort by location/distance or cost (lowest to highest). With gas prices being so ridiculous, is it any question why I love this app? This app is totally free, so ignore any priced alternatives you see.

10. Touchy Books

This app is perfect for little fingers. Your first few books are free for your toddler. The books are read to you and some images are clickable and make sounds or animations pop out. My daughter loves it!

What apps do you find useful?

10 affordable summertime activities kids

22 Aug 2014

Summer, Kids, Playing

For many children, summer is a season of boredom. As much as we like to think of those long, hot days as idyllic and wonderful, most kids spend their summers tuned into a TV or computer, not doing all the fun stuff that their parents had hoped they would do. Season-long summer camps tend to be expensive, as do memberships to museums, zoos, and other attractions, so it can be hard for parents on a budget to provide their kids with enough fun and productive entertainment. If you're trying to find a way to kill time this season, here are ten fun and affordable summertime activities for kids.

1. Hit the library.

There's so much more than just books! Your local library probably offers free programs for kids of all ages, from story times for younger kids to book clubs for teens. There are also likely days for art, crafts, and music. Check out your local library's website to see what they offer.

2. Go camping!

This is a really fun way to spend a summer evening with your kids, and it's also very affordable compared to fancy vacations. Want to cut out costs entirely? Camp in the back yard, of course! Make sure you build a fire (safely!) and roast marshmallows for s'mores.

3. Make popsicles.

Homemade popsicles are a fun, refreshing, and cheap way to pass time on a summer afternoon. Try any of dozens of recipes, from lemonade or apple sauce to pudding or yogurt. And you can always add bits of cookie, fresh fruit, or gummies. Your kids will enjoy making them almost as much as they'll enjoy eating them.

4. Put on a sock puppet show.

Everybody has socks that they never use anymore, either because the socks are stained, or have holes, or because they lost their matches long ago. Go ahead and empty out that drawer of socks and grab a few buttons and some paint. You can easily spend a whole afternoon making the puppets with your kids and then watching them put on a show.

5. Make Perler bead art.

Perler beads (sometimes called "melty beads") are an inexpensive craft item and a great way to spend a summer day… or many! You simply place these in whatever pattern or shape you want on a peg board (about a dollar at your local craft store) and then use an iron the melt the beads together. Tip: get some cheap magnets to glue to the back so your kids' masterpieces can go on the fridge.

6. Sell fresh lemonade!

What child hasn't wanted to run a lemonade stand in the summer? Help your child set up a stand in your front yard, complete with posters, a collection jar, and lots of disposable cups, and squeeze fresh lemonade while your child peddles it out. Your kids are likely to turn a surprising profit, and the investment isn't much at all!

7. Decorate shopping bags.

Canvas shopping bags are only a dollar or two each, and even cheaper if you get them in a larger pack. They're not only green, but they also make a fun, affordable summer activity for kids. Get out the paints and markers and let your kids enjoy decorating your grocery bags.

8. Paint a flower pot.

You've probably got at least one (or ten) clay flower pots that are going unused, and if not, you can buy them for a very low price. Let your kids decorate these with acrylic paint. Later, if you want, your kids can complete their masterpieces by getting their very own plants to keep in the pots!

9. Paint rocks.

This activity is so dirt-cheap that it's often overlooked by parents looking for ways to entertain their kids in the summertime, but don't skip this one! Grab some nice, smooth rocks-there may even already be some in your yard-and let your children paint them. Any size or shape of rock works and there are limitless possibilities for what you can do with them.

10. Create bird feeders.

This one never gets old! It's more commonly done as a winter craft, but bird feeders are even more fun in the summer, when our little feathered friends are out in greater numbers. Cover a pine cone with peanut butter and roll it in bird seed, then hang it near your front door. Your kids will love it, and the total cost is very low.

Summer doesn't have to be a time of boredom. Kids need and deserve to spend these precious months engaged in enjoyable activities that promote creativity, thought, and fine motor skills. Productive activities for kids can be cheap or even free, so there's no reason to skip out on these fun activities.

What's your favorite way to pass the time with your kids in the summer?

10 Airport/Airplane Conversation Starters

21 Aug 2014

Airport_Air_side_view

To be a good conversationalist, there are a few "rules" when it comes to conversing with strangers. In most cases, avoid discussing politics or religion unless there is a strong indicator of which way your subject leans and you happen to agree. There's no use having a "Crossfire" type debate in an airport or anywhere else with someone you don't know.

If you're not looking for some "ack-shun", don't get too personal with a member of the opposite sex. Same sex conversations could also be misinterpreted, for that matter. If you're a straight guy, you might not want to get into a discussion about Brokeback Mountain with the guy at the next urinal, for instance. Or anything else. The guy might be a Congressman cruising in an airport mensroom. Watch for that "wide stance".

In starting conversation with strangers, it takes a secure person with a lot of self-confidence to make the first move. If that describes you, you probably don't need a lot of help. For the rest of you, here are 10 ideas for airport/airplane conversation starters:

If you're a man trying to strike up a conversation with an attractive woman, say in an airport bar, Chris Berman of ESPN's infamous line "you're with me, Leather" is probably a little too forward unless you're a celebrity. According to the sports blog Deadspin, in the mid-90's a well known media personality had been trying to pick up a comely female in leather pants for an hour or so. In walks Chris "Boomer" Berman who, without breaking stride says "you're with me, Leather" and the two disappear."He ....could....go...all...the ...way...?"

If you're a regular Joe, you might try something less like a line. Maybe "I take it you're not a member of PETA?" if you don't get slapped, you're on your way.

While passing the time waiting in the terminal, in any group of people, there's usually one or more fans of the 90's TV series Seinfeld. In a 1995 episode, The Diplomats Club, Kramer and some Texan are placing bets on which flight will land first. Kramer wins, but the bet is off when it is discovered that Jerry caused a delay in one of the flights because the Pilot had seen his act and was offended. Discussing the "show about nothing" can be an excellent conversation starter.

Speaking of Pilots, there are usually some passengers who are a bit nervous about flying. One could mention that "hey, the Pilot is quite a guy. Just last night, I was his designated driver". A little humor is good for taking off the edges.

You could use the Jim Carrey line from Dumb and Dumber in which Carrey's Lloyd Christmas tells the lady passenger in his limo "statistics show that more people are killed on their way to the airport".

With airport security being so tight in the post 9/11 era, many people are uneasy about going through metal detectors. Many of us set off alarms the first time around. In a scene in This Is Spinal Tap, one of the rockers sets off the metal detector. It turns out the problem was a tin-foil wrapped zucchini...in a, shall we say, private area. Recalling this scene, or explaining it to the unitiated, could be a good conversation starter.

If subjected to a body search, a middle-aged man could always say "I was due for my annual prostate exam, anyway".

Men, If you must visit an airport mensroom, you could lighten the mood by proclaiming, "Sen. Larry Craig is sponsoring a limbo dance contest in there!"

If the other passengers are humor impaired or just prefer Cary Grant-type "sophisticated" humor, sports is often an excellent conversation starter just about anywhere. If, say a fellow passenger has some sort of NFL emblem on their luggage or elsewhere, nearly anyone will know the name of at least one current player. As Steve Martin and the late John Candy said in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles when caught in an awkward situation: "How 'bout those Bears?" But, this one might not work in Green Bay WI.

The 2000 film, Meet The Parents has a couple of funny scenes recalled by many. Everyone who has flown much seemingly has a lost luggage story. In Parents, Gaylord "Greg" Focker has his luggage lost when going to meet his future in-laws for the first time. Instead of his clothes and his girlfriends engagement ring, Greg's luggage arrives several days late and has a bunch of S&M equipment inside, which of course, his ex-CIA future father in law opens. Recalling this scene can make for a good conversation starter.

Lastly, the other scene from Parents is the one late in the film in which Greg has to wait for his row to board...even though he is the only person in line. Joking about such absurdities of flying is something most flyers can relate to and can be another great conversation starter in the airport.
